The Critical Thinking International Conference by TOC for Education will be held two days from March 23rd to 24th, 2024, at Kyoto University in Japan.
We all aspire to have a full life. Teachers and parents of children sincerely want their children to lead fulfilling lives.
So, What skills do you need to live a fulfilling life? What kind of thing is it?
As we overcome the coronavirus pandemic and are forced to witness climate change and the divisions that occur in various places, we must work together even more as friends who share this earth. I think it can be said that we are realizing the necessity of having the power to live a fulfilling life.
Critical thinking as a life skill
The World Health Organization (WHO) believes that in any era and any cultural society, there is the strength necessary to survive as a human being. Life skills are defined as below
"Life skills are the abilities needed to deal constructively and effectively with the various problems and demands that arise in daily life."

Furthermore, it is said that there are ten life skills, and one of them is critical thinking.
In this conference, we'll present a range of case studies and findings from our global activities, including those in Japan. We'll explore how TOCfE thinking tools can enhance critical thinking, enriching people's learning experiences and lives.
